佐倉城址公園 Sakura Joshi Park
Sakura Castle Site Park, is a park built within the grounds of Sakura Castle. In the park, visitors see the castle tower, dry moat, and castle structures that define the landscape. Among the hibiscus and oak trees, there is also a pair of 400 year old trees known as the "Mokkoku Couple" (which are a Chiba Designate Natural Monument).
The castle itself is ranked as one of "Japan's Top 100 Castles" and the park ranks as one of "Japan's Top 100 Historical Parks." The area is a great place to see the changing leaves of the Japanese maple.

From the Keiyo Line Keisei Sakura Station South Exit, take the Chiba Green Bus from the Tamachi Bus Warehouse, heading for the "National Museum." It is also a 5 min walk from the "National Museum of Japanese History" bus stop.
