Tokyo Area Illumination Information

Tokyo German Village Winter Illumination

The 50,000㎡ grounds are illuminated with 2.5 million lights. See the many attractions including the 70m long "Rainbow Tunnel," the "Musical Light Show," and the "3D Illumination."
On January 3rd, 2019, experience the "1st China Lantern Festival 2019" at Tokyo German Village.

A Dream-like Illumination amongst the Rice Paddies

A light festival taking place on terraced rice paddies. Check out the 10,000 LED candles illuminate the fields even after the festival.

Held at the Famous Shinshoji Temple! Narita String Festival

A festival indicative of the fall, the Narita String Festival is a celebration that welcomes good fortune. The main show features performances by string instruments on the temple's promenade and the celebration continues with events in the surrounding area.

A UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage! Fall Festival: Sawara Grand Festival

Sawara and its townscape of old world Japan, is located right next-door to Narita Airport. There you can experience the 300 year old tradition of the "Sawara Grand Festival." Designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, the festival is known as the third largest of its kind in the Kanto Region. Also a registered UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, the festival attracts many visitors each year.

Hananobe no Sato (Katsuura City)


Narita-san Park (Narita City)
Located behind the main hall of the popular tourist destination Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple, the park grows a combination of 500 red and white plum trees.

From the latter half of January through February, 300 Kawazu Cherry Blossoms will be in full bloom. The soft aroma of plum hangs in the air as the plum trees also begin to bloom.
