Now at Mother Farm, we are holding our “Capybara Bath” event, but on December 22^nd (Friday), we will have a one day only winter solstice event “Capybara Bath ~Citron Version~.” It is said that infusing bath water with cintron on the day of the winter solstice is a way to avoid catching a cold.

Our two capybara stand still, their eyes squinted as the staff pour water over each of their backs. In the “Citron Version,” our staff have infused the water with fragrant “Citron” and Mother Farm picked “Mikan Oranges.” Enjoying both the aroma and the taste (!?), the adorable capybara warm up in the water♡

Nearby the bath, we will have a bucket filled with “Citrons” and “Mikan Oranges,” as well as the 20cm long “Lion Citron.”

Next year is the “Year of the Dog,” and this winter Mother Farm will be focusing on our sheep dogs with a ton of shows with the Makiba Animals. There will be all sorts of events to enjoy such as commemorative photo shoots with the sheep dogs, sheep dog challenges, the “Great Sheep March– Year of the Dog Edition” (our annual event in which 150 sheep line-up to form Chinese characters in the field), as well as horseback riding, events for good luck, and much more!

As usual, early spring flowers such as “daffodils” and “rapeseed blossoms,” as well as “fruit tomato” and “strawberry” picking will also be available to enjoy♪So warm up with one of our many events, this winter at Mother Farm.

The origins of bungee jumping began on the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu on the Island of Pentecost as a coming-of-age ceremony called “N’Gol.”
Following that tradition, bungee jumping will be free at Mother Farm for those born between 1997/4/2 and 1998/4/1 in celebration of their coming-of-age.

For this year’s Mother Farm famous “Great Sheep March,” the sheep will line-up in the field to form a character fitting to the Year of the Dog:the Chinese character for dog! To form such a character, 150 sheep and our sheep dogs will need to work in perfect combination. Come and see the exquisite skill and coordination of the staff and animals.
